did I tell you about this teacher I had..
she taught history of animation
she hated Miyazaki because of how the lips didn’t match what the characters were saying and went on and on and on about how Disney recycled their animation in a lot of early movies and how she thought that was just cheap and disgraceful and lazy
her favorite cartoon
was Family Guy
OW THAT PHYSICALLY HURT ME TO READ
Yay an ask : D
Favourite film - Oooh boy this is hard one. I love a lot of films. But off the top of my head, The Dark Knight, Pan’s Labyrinth, City of God, Disney’s The Hunchback of Note Dame, A Clockwork Orange, Princess Mononoke, V For Vendetta, This is England, Splice, I could go on all day with movies I love and why I love them…
One Phobia - Hospitals. Thanks to bad doctors and nurses I’ve had to deal with in the past. Fun times.
Your inspiration- Wow, ok. I have a lot of inspiration sources. Film and music being an obvious one. There are certain people that inspire me as well, like Miyazaki. Travelling give me an energy to draw. I travel up and down the country fairly often by train and I like watching the world go by my window. ALWAYS gotta have a window seat.
I really love the city as well, there’s a lot to look at and always something happening. I’m fascinated by urban and run down areas, but at the same time, I like the countryside and how peaceful it can be. I take a notebook or a small sketchbook everywhere I go incase of inspiration. Little stories or doodles can come at any time, and it can help with my nervousness of being outside. It relaxes me. I also have my batshit insane dreams that I have on a regular basis. Again, I could go on all day about where my inspiration comes from… maybe I will one day.
Favourite song - Another hard one, haha. Well, the song on repeat for me at the moment is ‘Dirty Paws’ by Of Monsters and Men. Go check it out.
